Policies PRIVACY POLICY The Institute for Inquiry (IFI) respects your right to privacy and is committed to maintaining your confidence and trust. We do not sell or rent or share any information you provide to us through our website. We have created the following privacy policy to inform you about the information IFI collects on its website and how we use it. IFI does not collect any information from you without your knowledge and permission, and we do not ask that you enter any personal information to access the IFI website. INFORMATION WE COLLECT IFI only collects information that you voluntarily submit, such as information you provide when you contact us for any reason by telephone, fax, mail, or e-mail. To use certain tools and functions on the website such as the subscription or donation areas, however, you must enter some identifying information. We configure our list server software to refuse to divulge the e-mail addresses of our list subscribers to anyone but authorized IFI staff and agents. SECURITY OF INFORMATION IFI takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and off-line. When our website or our authorized agents ask users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry – Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user information off-line.
